We love anniversaries.
This year International Conservatoire Week Festival is dedicated to two memorable dates: centenary of the death of the Patron of our Conservatoire, Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and 135th anniversary of Sergei Rachmaninoff’s birthday. Music written by these composers manifests the triumph of the human spirit and has served to use Pushkin’s words ‘to the glory of our Motherland’ — they remain an endless source of inspiration for both young musicians and skilled profes- sionals and give us creative impetus.
