The exhibition of paintings by St. Petersburg young artists
MUSIC OF COLOURS. IMAGES AND FEELINGS

Works by young Petersburg artists that are presented at the traditional within the framework of the the 8th annual International Conservatoire Week have been inspired by the oeuvre of great Russian composers — Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and Sergei Rachmaninoff.

Their music has enraptured contemporaries with its romanticism, fairy-tale atmosphere and ability to run the gamut of the emotions; in today’s rational world it still finds admirers not only among music experts but also among those working with various art forms.

Many works by young and original artists Natalia Vishnyakova, Tatiana Kalyn, Tatiana Lushnikova, Nadezhda Shkandrij, Tesfae Atsbekha were painted specially for the International Conservatoire Week Festival. They are a living symbol of the syncretic unity of the two art forms: musical images and sensations are embodied in the diversity of graphic forms, genres and style solutions.

The project’s curator is Zhanna Vilenskaya
